Round 1 - Arena Open
On the day of the official start of the games, each tribute is moved into their own waiting room with their partner from the same district. Your prep team will hand you a school bag filled with miscellaneous items and they will also clasp a bracelet around your dominant hand and a similar anklet around the opposite ankle.
[For people who have watched Battle Royale or know the fandom, you will recognize what this is. It's just on a different part of the body. Your tributes will not be told what this is. These devices cannot be removed and they also serve as trackers and monitors to track health levels and locations.]
Your prep team will give each tribute a hug and some warm words of encouragement (or a slap on the back for you manly folk) and then you will be moved into your relevant entry tube. Time will count down slowly but one by one, the tributes will be moved into the arena and announced on TV for the viewers at home. The tributes have been advised that if they step off their starting point prior to the official start of the game, their platform will explode. Do not move until you have been advised that you can.

There will be no other explanation attached with the map. This is exactly what the tributes are getting. There is a N point on the map but the compass doesn't work. Oh wait, the tributes don't know that either. Good luck.
The tributes all start an equal distance from the cornucopia which is right in the middle of the grey area. They are in a semi circle with district 1 members being on the bottom left corner of square H8 and District 12 being in the top right of square G10.
The following information is for OOC use only and only comes into play when your tributes encounter them in game:
As your character picks up any items from the above list, I'll remove them and add them to the list here. First come first served. The items will go to whoever comments on the mod top level below. Please comment linking to the thread when your character picks up the item.
Twist 1 - Announced 23 July 2016 - 24 Hour Battle
Twist 2 - Announced 6 Aug 2016 - A little noise disturbance
Twist 3 - Announced 20 August 2016 - Phoenix
Twist 4 - Announced 3 September 2016 - Musical Bracelets
Twist 5 - Announced 17 September 2016 - TBA
There will be no further twists so Arena Post for Twist 5 will remain in play until end of round.
And with that...there is a loud gunshot...

Each tribute gets one of these cute school bags.

Inside, you will find the following:
1 small bottle of water
1 map of the arena (below)
1 defective compass (it is up to you how you want it to be defective. (Eg. Points you in circles, walks you in a random straight line and then changes direction after a certain distance. Is just plain broken. Makes funny sounds when you shake it etc)
1 day's supply of dry rations - such as jerky or the equivalent your character likes.
A pencil case with a permanent marker, child safety blunt scissors, a small plastic ruler, a pencil and an eraser.
The following tributes will have a bonus item:
bakegarasu
grapeeater
marimohead

The tributes all start an equal distance from the cornucopia which is right in the middle of the grey area. They are in a semi circle with district 1 members being on the bottom left corner of square H8 and District 12 being in the top right of square G10.
The following information is for OOC use only and only comes into play when your tributes encounter them in game:
- The fruits in A8 are edible fruits. There is a wide range from apples and oranges to mangoes. Everything your character would want. However, to get there they must navigate past 3 packs of wolves or try to traverse over a very bustling river.
- The Lighthouse in C10 has a secret stash of grenades (x10) on the top level.
- You are welcome to come up with whatever you want in the forest/lake/sand areas. Please comment into the info post when your character encounters anything really amazing so I can update this post with the square and information. Then everyone else can also suffer.
- Cornucopia - This is where you will find 6 weeks worth of food (the food will stay fresh for that long) and water. There is enough to feed all 12 districts of tributes. Are you guys going to share? Behind the mountain of food is where all the weapons are. There is a large stash of guns, swords, knives, enough to arm the amount of people in the arena with 1 type of weapon each. Amongst the weapons there are also fandom specific items that your character wishes they had from home. If you want it, you'll have to fight for it. Asides from that, there is also a small range of electronic devices (1x actual working compass) and a range of items that can be used to set traps. (eg. tripwires, long range bomb detonators etc).
- The water in the lakes and streams coming down from the mountain are drinkable.
- In the beach area on the line of I3 and I4 there is 1 buried treasure. This treasure chest includes 3 bottles of water and 3 days worth of food rations.
- In the shelter B6, there is medical equipment. Bandages, antiseptic creams etc. This is one medical kit in 3x separate rooms in the shelter, carefully hidden away.
- It will take a tribute roughly half an hour to get through each square. Since the map is quite small, your character can essentially tag into any thread. It would help if you mark top levels where the tribute is for easy tracking.
- The arena is surrounded by an invisible forcefield that will bounce back items that you throw at it.
As your character picks up any items from the above list, I'll remove them and add them to the list here. First come first served. The items will go to whoever comments on the mod top level below. Please comment linking to the thread when your character picks up the item.

And with that...there is a loud gunshot...

The games begin.
May the odds be ever in your favor.
Cornucopia Initial Battle
For people who come to the cornucopia outside of this top level, you may find only remnants of whatever is left. Weapons scattered, food taken etc. You may get lucky if you sneak back later but if you desperately want something, now is your chance.

[The gunshot rings out and he starts sprinting, glad he's fast, and does his best to push past the food and try to find his things. He can look for food later, but if he can't defend himself he's totally lost.]

In fact, she thought that they would be long gone and not put in play for the Arena, but. . . well, perhaps they just simply thought it would be more interesting. Although it's definitely a mistake to put a sentient object in there, especially one like Ruby. At least Sapphire isn't here, otherwise she'd be able to activate Zwei Form.
But when she notices a face of someone, she knows she might be in deep trouble, although she's hoping otherwise, as she floats down. She can't be in the air 24/7 after all, lest they think of raining spears from the sky or something to aim directly at her. ]
Um, do you need help looking for something. . .? Maybe I can help.
[ TEAMWORK. Plus she doesn't need any of the weapons here since Ruby is literally ~*all she ever wanted, that's the way she needs it*~ but honestly she doesn't need much? Maybe food, but she wants to avoid as much conflict as possible, so talking to people it is. ]

... My Driver. It looks like an oversized belt buckle, and there's a Lockseed that goes with it that looks like a bike lock with a grape on it.
[It's got to be somewhere... he nudges aside some dried meat and keeps looking.]
no subject
[ She nods, floating a bit. ] Do you want me to go search the other areas? It might be faster that way.
no subject
[There's other weapons, things he doesn't recognize, but... it's got to be here. They wouldn't leave him defenseless, would they? ... Possibly. But he has to hope not.]
no subject
Um... is there anywhere in particular you want to meet in five minutes?
no subject
[He can climb a tree or something and get a vantage point...]

[ Just asking because she didn't, clearly. ]

[He's not about to show her where, but he does have it, at least.]

[ She can't help but smile, just a little. ] It would be really bad if you couldn't find it, right?

[ Her words are firm, confident. ] It's just like me and Ruby.

[As long as no one tries to stop him.]

[ She knows that there has to be things here, but more importantly, one of her friends has to be in here. Which is why she disregards almost everything else before her magical stick flies back into the girl's hands - thank god it's sentient, right, carrying the Class Cards under its wing before Illya herself grabs the stick and transforms. And because of that, she no longer has to worry about running.
Because she's a magical girl, after all, she can fly the rest of the way to the Cornucopia. Since there are definitely going to be things she can use here. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a bloody battle. . . ]

Her claws. Nepeta hesitates, stupidly, because she needs to go (everyone here has launched right past the food for weapons and they're bigger than her, all of them) but if she had those, she could fight, she could--
The little girl turns into a poofier little girl and starts to fly.
Okay, nani the fuck is this hoofbeast manure.
Opportunity lost in that moment of distraction, Nepeta growls to herself, shoulders the pack, and bolts towards the forest, looking for Karkat as she runs.]

Once the gunshot is heard (it's not any kind of rifle or gun sound that she is familiar with, she notes) she heads for the cornucopia with her attention on all the other participants, she doesn't miss a single one, taking note of where they go, and which ones head for the equipment as well. She can't rush it though, or she'll only strain herself. She can't afford going out of commission in the light, she needs to find shadows.
But weapons and provisions. Perhaps it is unfair of her, but she doesn't hesitate to look for two weapons. She knows how to use guns, even if not many of the Iga does, and she is going to get both a gun and a blade--a knife, or a sword, or both--and rope if she can find any. ]

And then he sees the ball. Sitting there with the rest of the weapons. It's a soccer ball, reversed colors from the standard ball, with the white patches glowing faintly. The weighted ball he trained with. There's a normal ball right next to it. Both of them would make perfect weapons for him, he could make them comets to tear clear through the arena - but he'd also need to keep retrieving them, and his kicks are powerful enough on their own.
Alright then. Food first. He can come back for a ball later, maybe. As soon as the horn blows he's flipped the switch on his chest, and he's fast, faster than any human, impossibly fast, there's just a silver blur with a streak of red behind him; he makes a smooth arc past the pile of food, grabbing as much as he feasibly can without weighing himself down too much, and then heading straight out, away from the Cornucopia, away from danger, away from where he's sure the gamemakers expect them to duke it out over supplies.
And he stops, when he's safely past the treeline, when he can still hear the others but not see them. He flips his switch again. Time to walk.]
